He never said it could not be used after 5:00 p.m. This year on Monday the 23rd I wanted to buy a all day pass and the man said that they do not sell a all day pass after 5:00 p.m. Last year we bought a all day pass and we rode the tram until the last ride about 9:30 p.m. And every year he wants to ride the Tram. For someone like me, it's the only way to go up and down the boardwalk anymore.Įvery year I go to Atlantic City with my Autistic Son. We went from Bally's down to Ocean resort, then all the way south to Tropicana and then back to Hard Rock with many stops along the way. I was given the impression after Memorial Day they would have even more trams and extended hours. All you have to do is flag one down, pay for the all day pass and that's it. Weekdays before Memorial day the tram runs from about 10am to 8pm. One had a bag of peanuts and when he saw a squirrel he would honk the horn, it would run up and he's toss it some peanuts. Sometimes if they are full you may have to wait for the next tram and that could be 15 minutes, but not bad unless you have to be somewhere in five minutes! The drivers are friendly and funny! One of ours pointed out different things of interest along the way and joked with the riders. When you want to get back on, just flag down the nearest tram heading your way and they will stop and let you on. Just press the bell button above your seat and the drive will stop so you can get out. If you don't need an all day pass, you can get a one time ride for $4. $10 gives you an all day pass and you can get off and on anywhere you want along the boardwalk. I've had a knee replacement, foot and ankle issues, bad back, nerve damage and it's no longer feasible for me to try and walk much. Now I have trouble just walking from the parking garage to the hotel elevators! With most hotel resorts charging $10 for a parking fee, this is your best bet for going from casino to casino if you can't walk the boardwalk much. I can't say enough about this service! When I first came out to Atlantic City years ago it was hard for me to walk up and down the boardwalk but I managed for the most part.
